DESCRIPTION:Building on more than eighty years of safety driven aviation instruction\, the Morey Airplane Company is expanding our knowledge course offerings. In addition to the private pilot and instrument courses\, we now offer monthly seminars covering topics pertinent to all levels of pilot experience. \nThis two hour seminar is the initial session of the Morey Instrument Knowledge Course. SUMMARY:WINGS Seminar: IFR Approach Charts for the VFR Pilot
DESCRIPTION:Building on more than eighty years of safety driven aviation instruction\, the Morey Airplane Company is expanding our knowledge course offerings. In addition to the private pilot and instrument courses\, we now offer monthly seminars covering topics pertinent to all levels of pilot experience. \nU.S. Terminal Procedures\, (TERPS)\, can provide valuable Information to the VFR pilot as well as the instrument pilot. This information can aid in situational awareness\, traffic avoidance\, navigation and obstacle awareness as well as other information. \nThis seminar discusses what and where\, information useful to VFR operations is contained in these publications. TERPS are available free to anyone willing to download them from the FAA or can be purchased from various commercial sources. This is not a seminar intended to teach Instrument Pilots the use of the TERPS\, rather it is to introduce the VFR pilot to a valuable source of useful information \nParticipants of this session can earn 1 Credit for Basic Knowledge Topic 1 and 1/2 credit for Advance Knowledge Topic 2 in the FAA WINGS program. \nMore information is available at: http://www.faasafety.gov/SPANS/event_details.aspx?eid=95629
